While Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson heads to NBC’s Smash for a multi-episode arc next season, FOX’s music-filled series Glee is snagging an American Idol vet of their own.
TVLine reports that Idol’s Season 11 runner-up is close to finalizing a deal to appear on the FOX show during its upcoming fourth season.
The California native has a very busy schedule ahead of her. For two months starting in July, she will be on the road traveling throughout the country for the American Idol tour. When she completes that run, plans are to have her join Glee, which would be midway through the first half of next season.
No details have been released for what the role will be for her arc and it’s easy to assume that she will be butting heads with Rachel Berry but it’s been done before, so we hope executive producer Ryan Murphy has something special planned for her.
Glee airs this fall on Thursdays at 9|8c on FOX.
